What I Read: January 2013

My goal was to read these four books in January and I am happy to say that I did it! It felt really good to get back into reading again. I went from almost forcing myself to read a couple of pages before falling asleep, to reading two of the books in one sitting and generally just enjoying spending hours with a book in my hands. So without further ado, here are the books I read and what I thought of them. Have you read any of these books? Would you like to read a review of any of them? Leave me a comment!

  1. I read the entire Narnia series when I was a kid and I thought they were pretty good but am not sure what I would make of them now, I've read Of Mice and Men so many times it's a wonder that it is not stamped on the back of my hand. As for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, I bought about two years ago and I still haven't got around to it, so this is an encouragement to pick it up sometime soon.

    1. Thanks so much for your comment! :)

The Narnia series was never part of my childhood, but I felt that I really needed to give it a try. I loved, both The Magician's Nephew and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. I don't really know why I couldn't get into The Horse and His Boy, but I will keep reading The Chronicles of Narnia nevertheless.

I can definitely see myself re-reading Of Mice and Men. I feel that it is one of those books that just gets better every time you read it, that there is so much more to discover. Also definitely going to read more by Steinbeck!

And you should definitely give The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo a go! I had it sitting on my shelves for a long time to, but when I finally picked it up I couldn't put it down.
